This was shot a year or two after I started taking photography seriously. The year was 1998. I used to walk around Salt Lake and shoot whatever I saw. I was only accosted once. I don't approach strangers as fearlessly as I did back then. I guess it's something you get used to and I've let that slip a little. I also think that since I had no problem going up to strangers on the street, that attitude helped me shoot weddings and do the same thing there where people expected a photographer to be lurking around. I've only been accosted once at a wedding, too.
